Description: Romeo is a 6-year-old male mixed breed who is currently looking for a foster home only. He was found extremely emaciated and approximately 30 pounds underweight. Life has not been kind to Romeo, and he has a lot of strength to rebuild. As he continues to recover, he will need daily walks and a consistent routine to help him regain his strength. Despite everything he has been through, Romeo is a very affectionate and lovey boy.

Description: It was 100° outside and this tiny 4-pound girl was found alone, baking in the sun! Thankfully she is now safe. We have named her Zoey, and we are so grateful to Katie for opening her heart and home to foster this sweet girl. Zoey is still a little one and has some growing to do, but she is expected to be a small to medium-sized girl when she is fully grown. We are in urgent need of wet puppy food, goat’s milk, sanitizing wipes, paper towels, mop heads, and other cleaning supplies. Please check our wishlists if you are able to help.

Description: Axel is around 8 years old, previously living in a nursing home with his owner, who was suffering from dementia. As her condition progressed, she began forgetting about Axel, and the facility informed them that he could no longer stay. Axel was taken to a veterinarian with the intention of being euthanized due to his situation. Thankfully the veterinarian saw that Axel deserved a second chance and declined to euthanize him. Instead, they reached out to Pawsitive Place Rescue in hopes that we could help him.

Description: Tommy is a 3-year-old Border Collie who was rescued from Gladewater Animal Control after being placed on the euthanasia list. He is now safe and looking for his forever family! Tommy is extremely social, smart, and friendly with dogs and children. He is kennel trained, potty trained, and knows how to sit and lay down. He loves running and playing in the backyard and will thrive with an active family who will include him in their adventures. Tommy is already neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.

Timmy is a little more timid than his brother Tommy, but once he feels comfortable, he is an incredibly affectionate boy who loves to give hugs. He is kennel and potty trained, friendly with children and other dogs, and a professional snuggler! Timmy and his brother Tommy can be adopted together or separately.

Description: Lightning is a 1-year-old, 100 lb Cane Corso who was picked up as a stray by Gladewater Animal Control and later saved by our rescue from the euthanasia list. Lightning has completed two weeks of intensive training with Blackhawk K-9 Texas. She walks well on a leash, knows how to sit and lay down, and is an affectionate, well-mannered girl. The small boo-boo on her lip does not affect her. Lightning has made great progress with her training, but she will need a home that is willing to continue working with her and provide the structure and consistency she has been learning. At 100 pounds, continued training is important to help set her up for success in her new home.

She knows how to sit and lay down and enjoys chewing on her bones. Sara was found abandoned on a county road with a harness so tight that it had become embedded into her skin. She is now spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, and ready for her forever home.
