Description: Remington is a 1 year old Red Heeler with a heart as big as Texas. This tough little guy was hit by a car on Hwy 31 in Tyler, and both of his front legs had to be rebuilt with orthopedic surgery, but you’d never know it now! He’s made a full recovery and lives every day like it’s his best one yet. Remington is a very social and happy boy who loves to run, romp around the yard, and make friends wherever he goes.
Sweet Girl

Description: Sweet Girl was dumped on the side of a busy highway, suffering from demodex mange and covered in fleas and ticks. After receiving much-needed veterinary care, she began her recovery in a foster home. Sweet Girl even made a TV appearance, and she was a total rockstar during her interview! Sadly, shortly after her big debut, her original foster left her behind at the station… We truly don’t understand how this lovely girl keeps getting left behind. Here’s what her current foster mom says: “Sweet Girl is a total cuddle monster. She loves being pet, snuggling with her blankies, chewing her bones, and playing with her doggy friends. She’s potty trained, kennel trained, and enjoys being outside. She’s very photogenic and craves companionship. She has some boo boos, but she’s healing beautifully and isn’t the least bit scary, just energetic and affectionate.”
Omar

Description: Omar was tagged from Smith County Animal Control after an urgent plea was sent out due to limited space. He’s a 2.5 year old neutered male shepherd mix with all the traits you’d expect from this intelligent and loyal breed. Omar is alert, people oriented, and thrives when he has a sense of purpose. He gets along well with other animals, adapts quickly to new routines, and would make a wonderful addition to an active home or a family with plenty of space for him to stretch his legs and feel included.

Description: This happy 2 year old girl has overcome so much. Found as a stray on an abandoned farm, Amari gave birth to 10 precious puppies in a dirty doghouse... she has healed fully from mange and blossomed into one of the sweetest dogs we’ve ever met. Amari is gentle, laid back, and always ready to flash her signature smile. She is house, kennel, and leash trained. She gets along wonderfully with dogs, kids, and cats. Whether she’s snuggling on the couch or just hanging out by your side, Amari’s nonchalant charm is sure to steal your heart. She’s truly one of the best.

Description: When we found Brock, he and his brother (Bodhi) were trapped deep inside a collapsed drainage culvert; starving, weak, and being eaten alive by parasites. No one knows how long they’d been down there, but it was clear they had been fighting to stay alive for far too long. Brock loves every person he meets and gets along with other dogs. He is happiest when it’s time to play — especially if there’s a squeaky tennis ball involved — but he’s just as content to curl up nearby and keep you company. Brock is the kind of dog who fits effortlessly into your life and would make a wonderful low maintenance companion.

Description: This timid little girl is as gentle as her name and has the sweetest, most loving personality once she feels safe. She would love nothing more than to cuddle and lounge the day away by your side. Lady Bug came to us from Smith County Animal Control after they put out an urgent plea for help due to limited space. Shortly after coming to us from Smith County, we discovered that Lady Bug had developed a mammary tumor. She underwent surgery, bravely fought cancer, and now she is beyond ready to start her next chapter!!

Description: Balu is a deaf 6 year old Blue Heeler mix with a heart of gold. When he was picked up by Smith County Animal Control & Shelter, he was protecting his two baby pups. Both of them deaf, just like him. That’s who Balu is. Loyal. Devoted. Fiercely loving. Balu loves people of all ages and is friendly with other dogs. His favorite things in life are going for walks, snuggling in bed, and happily chewing on his bones. Because Balu can’t hear, he will need an adopter who understands his unique needs. Someone patient and gentle who won’t startle him and who’s ready to embrace his different way of communicating. With the right person, Balu will be the most loyal and loving companion you could ask for.

He loves to sit back and take in the world around him, always calm, always sweet. He is a total couch potato who believes the best place to be is wherever you are. At about 80 pounds, Buster Brown is a big boy with an even bigger heart. He melts for affection, adores attention, and is ready to give his whole heart to a family who will never leave him behind again.
