Description: Coral is a 2 year old Heeler mix who is both house trained and kennel trained. While she is not a high-energy dog in the sense that she needs to run miles every day, she possesses an incredibly strong working drive. She craves mental stimulation, loves having a job to do, and thrives when she is actively focused on a task. True to her breed, Coral is aloof, wary of strangers, and is not a traditionally social or friendly dog. Because of this, she strictly requires an experienced owner who fundamentally understands cattle dog behavior and can confidently manage her drive. Coral will need a home with ample space where she has a dedicated job to fulfill her natural instincts.
Lime

Description: Lime is a 2-year-old Terrier mix who weighs 45 lbs, and he is much smaller than he looks! Lime can be a little shy when meeting new people or adjusting to new environments. Once he feels comfortable, you start to see the real Lime. He gets the zoomies in the grass. He rolls onto his back when he’s happy. He proudly carries around fuzzy toys and loves curling up next to his people for couch naps. He rides great in the car, enjoys running trails, sits politely at doors, and thrives when he starts learning a routine. Lime was pulled from Dallas Animal Services, where he was already scheduled to be euthanized. We knew he deserved a second chance, so we stepped in to save him. Due to spending the majority of his life in the shelter, Lime will need a patient, committed, and experienced family who understands the importance of decompression, routine and structure. He will need a calm home where he can learn to trust, build confidence, and experience true life outside of the shelter.

Description: Diane is a precious little pup. Weighing only 35 pounds, she full of love, joy, and endless wiggles whenever she sees people. Her happy personality is impossible to resist, and she’s always ready to brighten your day. Diane is dog friendly, kennel trained, wonderful with children, and loves digging through her toy box for playtime.

Description: Angel is a 55 lb Shepherd mix with a big affectionate heart and easygoing nature. One of Angel's favorite things in the world is splashing around in the pool. She also has an impressive talent for catching treats mid-air and will gladly show off her skills for a snack. When playtime is over, Angel is more than happy to curl up beside you for cuddles. Angel was picked up by Smith County Animal Control & Shelter after being left behind when her family moved away. Despite being left behind, she remained loyal to her home and never wandered far from the yard she knew was hers. That quiet devotion speaks volumes about her character. Angel is ready for a fresh start with a family who will never leave her behind again.

Description: Mary is a 1-year-old, fully grown 25 lb Terrier mix. She is completely deaf, which simply means she experiences the world a little differently and makes her even more special. Mary thrives on companionship and wants to be right by your side, whether she is playing in the pool or riding shotgun in the car. Because she loves being included and isn't a fan of being alone, she would do best with a retired individual or a family with a stay-at-home routine. When it’s time to rest, she curls up into the tiniest little ball. Because she is deaf, Mary will need a patient adopter willing to communicate with her using visual cues.

Description: Valerie is a 2 year old Terrier mix with a fun, playful personality and a VERY loving heart. She enjoys sniffing around the yard, playing with her toys, and following her people around, but is just as happy to settle in for cozy cuddle time. She is dog friendly, potty trained, and kennel trained, making her an affectionate, well-mannered and easy companion in the home. Valerie is fully vaccinated, spayed, and ready to find her forever home.
Adele

Description: Adele is a young Belgian Malinois who is incredibly smart, deeply loyal, and very loved. She is easily one of the smartest dogs we’ve ever worked with and has an uncanny ability to figure things out. She can open doors, carabiners, and latches. Her intelligence is impressive and very true to her breed. She is the kind of dog who bonds hard with her people and takes her role as a protector seriously. Because of that, Adele truly needs to be the only dog in the home. Adele is more of a guardian than a laid back family pet. She will be completely devoted to her person and will love and protect them with everything she has. With people, she is affectionate, confident, and does well with children, she just doesn’t enjoy sharing her space with other dogs. She is very active and loves to play. Chasing a ball or frisbee is one of her favorite things, and she’s a big fan of swimming too. She has no problem putting on her life jacket and jumping into the pool. Adele is house trained, kennel trained, and fully potty trained. She does great for baths and is happiest chewing on her favorite bones. She is fully vetted and has had a preventative stomach tack, which speaks to just how athletic she is. Adele can easily clear 10 feet in the air. This girl is all about movement, purpose, and adventure. Adele is looking for an experienced, committed home that understands the Malinois breed and is excited about having a loyal, protective companion. In the right environment, she will be an incredible partner and a once in a lifetime dog.

This confident girl knows exactly what she wants and isn’t afraid to show it! She’s very food motivated, cuddle obsessed, and happiest when she’s close to her people, soaking up all the love.

She can be shy during her first meet-and-greets, but once she learns you come with kindness and treats, then her loyal, affectionate personality shines through. She enjoys the simple comforts in life such as soft dog beds, delicious yummy bones, and relaxing time by your side. She also loves going for walkies and exploring the world. Lady Bug came to Pawsitive Place Rescue after Smith County Animal Control & Shelter reached out to rescues with an urgent plea to help make space in their shelter. She is also a brave cancer survivor and is now healthy, and ready to find her forever home.
