She loves playing with her toys, running around, and then curling up in her bed when she’s ready to snuggle. She gets along great with everyone she meets, including kids and other dogs, and she really enjoys being part of whatever is going on around her. Krissy also loves car rides and is always ready to hop in and head somewhere new. She will fit right in with a family who enjoys getting out and doing things, but also appreciates quiet time and cuddles at home.

Description: Angel is a 55 lb Shepherd mix with a big affectionate heart and easygoing nature. One of Angel's favorite things in the world is splashing around in the pool. She also has an impressive talent for catching treats mid-air and will gladly show off her skills for a snack. When playtime is over, Angel is more than happy to curl up beside you for cuddles. Angel was picked up by Smith County Animal Control & Shelter after being left behind when her family moved away. Despite being left behind, she remained loyal to her home and never wandered far from the yard she knew was hers. That quiet devotion speaks volumes about her character. Angel is ready for a fresh start with a family who will never leave her behind again.

Description: Mary is a 25 lb sweetheart (fully grown) who came to us from Smith County Animal Control & Shelter after they put out a plea for space. She is completely deaf; however, that simply means she experiences the world a little differently and it makes her even more special. Mary thrives on companionship and would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time. Whether it’s a family with a stay at home routine or a retired individual looking for a loyal shadow, Mary is ready to fill that role perfectly. She isn’t a fan of being alone, but give her a cozy spot near her favorite person (or a comfy couch), and she’s completely content. When it’s time to rest, Mary curls up into the tiniest little ball, it’s impossible not to smile when you see her like that. Because she is deaf, Mary will need a patient adopter who is willing to communicate with her in ways she understands.

She is dog friendly, potty trained, and kennel trained, making her an affectionate, well-mannered and easy companion in the home. Valerie is fully vaccinated, spayed, and ready to find her forever home.
Adele

Description: Adele is a young Belgian Malinois who is incredibly smart, deeply loyal, and very loved. She is easily one of the smartest dogs we’ve ever worked with and has an uncanny ability to figure things out. She can open doors, carabiners, and latches. Her intelligence is impressive and very true to her breed. She is the kind of dog who bonds hard with her people and takes her role as a protector seriously. Because of that, Adele truly needs to be the only dog in the home. Adele is more of a guardian than a laid back family pet. She will be completely devoted to her person and will love and protect them with everything she has. With people, she is affectionate, confident, and does well with children, she just doesn’t enjoy sharing her space with other dogs. She is very active and loves to play. Chasing a ball or frisbee is one of her favorite things, and she’s a big fan of swimming too. She has no problem putting on her life jacket and jumping into the pool. Adele is house trained, kennel trained, and fully potty trained. She does great for baths and is happiest chewing on her favorite bones. She is fully vetted and has had a preventative stomach tack, which speaks to just how athletic she is. Adele can easily clear 10 feet in the air. This girl is all about movement, purpose, and adventure. Adele is looking for an experienced, committed home that understands the Malinois breed and is excited about having a loyal, protective companion. In the right environment, she will be an incredible partner and a once in a lifetime dog.
Rufus

Description: Rufus is a young Chocolate Labrador Retriever with the perfect balance of playful energy and grown-up manners. He is house, kennel, and potty trained, eager to learn, and adapts quickly to new routines. After being hit by a car, Rufus had orthopedic surgery to repair his hip, and he has made an excellent recovery. He is now healthy, active, and loves getting out for walks and playtime. His favorite activities include chewing on his bones, squeaking his plush toys, and happily chasing a tennis ball. He is genuinely a good boy ready to be someone’s loyal best friend. Description: Snow is a 1 year old Husky mix who is surprisingly small at only 40 pounds. This resilient girl has quite a story. Snow was shot in the face and needed surgery to remove several broken and fractured teeth due to her injuries. Snow is a super happy, playful girl who refuses to let the past slow her down, and her absolute favorite thing in the world is spending her time outdoors. She is so ready to find a forever family to run around and enjoy life with! Snow is house, kennel and potty trained. Up to date on her shots and already spayed.

She is also a brave cancer survivor and is now healthy, and ready to find her forever home.
