Description: Peachy is a small, sassy 8 month old Corgi mix with the funniest little attitude and the cutest wiggle butt. When Smith County Animal Control & Shelter asked if we could help her, we didn’t hesitate. She arrived covered in raw, painful scabs and clearly in need of immediate medical attention. Veterinary exams revealed just how much this tiny girl was fighting: hookworms, roundworms, coccidia, Demodex mange, and even road rash! After months of tender care, Peachy is now fully healed and as healthy as can be. Her tough days are behind her, and her true personality has blossomed. Peachy loves digging through the toy box, playing with her doggy friends, then settling in for cuddles and TV time.

Covered in fleas and ticks, and faithfully waiting for someone who was never coming back, this sweet boy had been dumped and left behind. Buster is a gentle dog with a quiet, observant nature. He loves to sit back and take in the world around him, always calm, always sweet. He is a total couch potato who believes the best place to be is wherever you are. At about 80 pounds, Buster Brown is a big boy with an even bigger heart. He melts for affection, adores attention, and is ready to give his whole heart to a family who will never leave him behind again.

Description: This timid little girl is as gentle as her name and has the sweetest, most loving personality once she feels safe. She would love nothing more than to cuddle and lounge the day away by your side. Lady Bug came to us from Smith County Animal Control after they put out an urgent plea for help due to limited space. Shortly after coming to us from Smith County, we discovered that Lady Bug had developed a mammary tumor. She underwent surgery, bravely fought cancer, and now she is beyond ready to start her next chapter!!

Description: When we found Brock, he and his brother (Bodhi) were trapped deep inside a collapsed drainage culvert; starving, weak, and being eaten alive by parasites. No one knows how long they’d been down there, but it was clear they had been fighting to stay alive for far too long. Brock loves every person he meets and gets along with other dogs. He is happiest when it’s time to play — especially if there’s a squeaky tennis ball involved — but he’s just as content to curl up nearby and keep you company. Brock is the kind of dog who fits effortlessly into your life and would make a wonderful low maintenance companion.

Amari is gentle, laid back, and always ready to flash her signature smile. She is house, kennel, and leash trained. She gets along wonderfully with dogs, kids, and cats. Whether she’s snuggling on the couch or just hanging out by your side, Amari’s nonchalant charm is sure to steal your heart. She’s truly one of the best.
