Lady Bug

Description: Lady Bug is a sweet dog who needs a little time to feel comfortable with new people. She can be shy during her first meet-and-greets, but once she learns you come with kindness and treats, then her loyal, affectionate personality shines through. She enjoys the simple comforts in life such as soft dog beds, delicious yummy bones, and relaxing time by your side. She also loves going for walkies and exploring the world. Lady Bug came to Pawsitive Place Rescue after Smith County Animal Control & Shelter reached out to rescues with an urgent plea to help make space in their shelter. She is also a brave cancer survivor and is now healthy, and ready to find her forever home.
Lightening

Breed: Cane Corso
Age: Young
Description: Lightning is a 1-year-old, 100 lb Cane Corso who was picked up as a stray by Gladewater Animal Control and later saved by our rescue from the euthanasia list. Lightning has completed two weeks of intensive training with Blackhawk K-9 Texas. She walks well on a leash, knows how to sit and lay down, and is an affectionate, well-mannered family dog. The boo-boo on her face is a "cleft lip" and it does not impact her. Lightning has made great progress with her training, but she will need a home that is willing to continue working with her and provide the structure and consistency she has been learning!
Lime

Description: Lime is a 2-year-old Terrier mix, and he is much smaller than he looks! He is only 45 pounds. Lime can be a little shy when meeting new people. Once he feels safe, Lime loves to get zoomies in the grass. He rolls onto his back when he’s happy and proudly carries around fuzzy toys. He loves curling up next to his people for couch naps, rides great in the car, enjoys running trails, sits politely at doors, and thrives when he starts learning a routine. Due to spending the majority of his life in the shelter, Lime will need a patient, committed, and experienced family who understands the importance of decompression and routine.
Mary

Age: Adult
Description: Mary is a 1-year-old, fully grown 25 lb Terrier mix. She is completely deaf, which simply means she experiences the world a little differently and makes her even more special. Mary thrives on companionship and wants to be right by your side, whether she is playing in the pool or riding shotgun in the car. Because she loves being included and isn't a fan of being alone, she would do best with a retired individual or a family with a stay-at-home routine. When it’s time to rest, she curls up into the tiniest little ball. Because she is deaf, Mary will need a patient adopter willing to communicate with her using visual cues.
Mellow

Description: Mellow is a 3-year-old Shepherd mix weighing 100 lbs. Full grown. He is kennel trained, already neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. He has also previously lived in a foster home with cats. A big backyard where he can stretch his legs would be a great fit, along with someone who wouldn’t mind a cuddle buddy at the end of the day.
Omar

Description: Omar is a 3-year-old male Lab mix. He is already neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, and a very photogenic boy. Omar is friendly with other dogs and large livestock. He adjusts quickly to new routines, and he knows how to sit and lay down. Omar will make a wonderful addition to an active home with plenty of space for him to stretch his legs and feel included.

Description: Romeo is a 6-year-old male mixed breed who was found starved and emaciated. Life has never been kind to Romeo, and he has a lot of strength to rebuild. Despite everything he has been through, Romeo is a very affectionate and lovey boy. As he continues to recover, he will need daily walks and a consistent routine to help him regain his strength.
Sweet Girl

Description: Sweet Girl is a 2-year-old mixed breed who has been with our rescue for over a year. She was found abandoned on a busy highway and came to us with mange, covered in fleas and ticks. She is an energetic and affectionate dog who enjoys spending time outdoors. Sweet Girl loves to “talk” to you, chew on her bones, chase tennis balls, and go for car rides.
