Description: This timid little girl is as gentle as her name and has the sweetest, most loving personality once she feels safe. She would love nothing more than to cuddle and lounge the day away by your side. Lady Bug came to us from Smith County Animal Control after they put out an urgent plea for help due to limited space. Shortly after coming to us from Smith County, we discovered that Lady Bug had developed a mammary tumor. She underwent surgery, bravely fought cancer, and now she is beyond ready to start her next chapter!!

Description: Mary is a 25 lb sweetheart (fully grown) who came to us from Smith County Animal Control & Shelter after they put out a plea for space. She is completely deaf; however, that simply means she experiences the world a little differently and it makes her even more special. Mary thrives on companionship and would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time. Whether it’s a family with a stay at home routine or a retired individual looking for a loyal shadow, Mary is ready to fill that role perfectly. She isn’t a fan of being alone, but give her a cozy spot near her favorite person (or a comfy couch), and she’s completely content. When it’s time to rest, Mary curls up into the tiniest little ball, it’s impossible not to smile when you see her like that. Because she is deaf, Mary will need a patient adopter who is willing to communicate with her in ways she understands.

What he wants most is a calm, loving home and someone who doesn’t mind a quiet shadow following them from room to room. Description: Omar was tagged from Smith County Animal Control & Shelter after an urgent plea for help was sent out due to limited space. He is a 2.5 year old neutered male Shepherd mix with all the traits you would expect from this intelligent and loyal breed. Omar is friendly with other dogs and large livestock, adapts quickly to new routines, and would make a wonderful addition to an active home or a family with plenty of space for him to stretch his legs and feel included.

Description: Remington is a 1 year old Red Heeler with a heart as big as Texas. This tough little guy was hit by a car on Hwy 31 in Tyler TX, and both of his front legs had to be rebuilt with orthopedic surgery, but you’d never know it now! He’s made a full recovery and lives every day like it’s his best one yet. Remington is a very social and happy boy who loves to run, romp around the yard, and make friends wherever he goes. He is already house trained, kennel trained, potty trained, and knows how to sit. As a bonus, he loves to wear clothes and will happily model for you any day of the week. This good boy has been waiting far too long for a family to call his own. He would thrive in a big active home with lots of kids and other dogs to play with, but he’s adaptable and would also be perfectly happy in a smaller household or even as your one and only. What matters most to Remington is having people to love, and he has plenty of that to give right back.

He loves going for walks, playing fetch with a tennis ball, chewing on his favorite bones, and entertaining himself with squeaky toys. After being hit by a car, Rufus underwent orthopedic surgery to repair his hip and has made an excellent recovery.

He loves curling up in your lap and soaking up attention, and once he warms up to you, he’s absolutely irresistible. Sid is dog friendly, kennel trained, and has a heart full of love to share. Sid came to Pawsitive Place Rescue in critical condition with a severely prolapsed anus and was in urgent need of immediate medical care. We rushed him into emergency surgery, followed by weeks of intensive aftercare to help him heal. Sid has made an incredible recovery and is now healthy, happy, and ready to find his forever family!
