Description: Adele is a young Belgian Malinois who is incredibly smart, deeply loyal, and very loved. She is easily one of the smartest dogs we’ve ever worked with and has an uncanny ability to figure things out. She can open doors, carabiners, and latches. Her intelligence is impressive and very true to her breed. She is the kind of dog who bonds hard with her people and takes her role as a protector seriously. Because of that, Adele truly needs to be the only dog in the home. Adele is more of a guardian than a laid back family pet. She will be completely devoted to her person and will love and protect them with everything she has. With people, she is affectionate, confident, and does well with children, she just doesn’t enjoy sharing her space with other dogs. She is very active and loves to play. Chasing a ball or frisbee is one of her favorite things, and she’s a big fan of swimming too. She has no problem putting on her life jacket and jumping into the pool. Adele is house trained, kennel trained, and fully potty trained. She does great for baths and is happiest chewing on her favorite bones. She is fully vetted and has had a preventative stomach tack, which speaks to just how athletic she is. Adele can easily clear 10 feet in the air. This girl is all about movement, purpose, and adventure. Adele is looking for an experienced, committed home that understands the Malinois breed and is excited about having a loyal, protective companion. In the right environment, she will be an incredible partner and a once in a lifetime dog.
Angel

Description: Angel is a 55 lb Shepherd mix who came to our rescue from Smith County Animal Control & Shelter. She is a beautiful, loyal, and loving girl who is kennel and potty trained. She loves treats, and if she could be anywhere, it would be spending time playing in the water/pool. Angel will need time to decompress and adjust to her new surroundings after being in the shelter. We do not expect her to immediately show her full personality in a new home, and giving her time, patience, and a consistent routine will be important as she settles in.
Atlas

Age: Adult
Description: Atlas is a shy little guy around 3 years old and 30 lbs. He loves spending his time sunbathing, and when you approach him, he will often roll onto his back for belly rubs. Atlas is kennel trained and dog friendly. He would much rather be your lounge buddy than be in the middle of all the action and would make a great companion for someone looking for a quieter dog to share their home with.
Axel

Age: Senior
Description: Axel is around 8 years old, previously living in a nursing home with his owner, who was suffering from dementia. As her condition progressed, she began forgetting about Axel, and the facility informed them that he could no longer stay. Axel was taken to a veterinarian with the intention of being euthanized due to his situation. Thankfully the veterinarian saw that Axel deserved a second chance and declined to euthanize him. Instead, they reached out to Pawsitive Place Rescue in hopes that we could help him. Axel is kennel and house trained as well as dog friendly.
Beauty

Description: Beauty is a 1.5-year-old mixed breed. She spent approximately a year living in the woods and came to our rescue completely unsocialized, so she can take some time to warm up to new people. Beauty is now kennel and potty trained, very affectionate once comfortable, and loves her snack time. Beauty is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, and heartworm negative. She will need time to adjust to a new environment and new people, so we encourage interested adopters to meet her in person and take the time to get to know her.
Cinnamon

Description: Cinnamon is approximately 6 years old and a Boxer mix. She has spent nearly half of her life in a shelter. She is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, and kennel/potty trained. Cinnamon loves to chew on her bones, enjoys all kinds of yummy snacks, and is a big baby when it comes to pets and attention. Her favorite place to be is anywhere with air conditioning and toys. She is very much an indoor dog and does not mind being dressed in cute outfits.
Coral

Description: Coral is a 2 year old Heeler mix who is both house trained and kennel trained. While she is not a high-energy dog in the sense that she needs to run miles every day, she possesses an incredibly strong working drive. She craves mental stimulation, loves having a job to do, and thrives when she is actively focused on a task. True to her breed, Coral is aloof, wary of strangers, and is not a traditionally social or friendly dog. Because of this, she strictly requires an experienced owner who fundamentally understands cattle dog behavior and can confidently manage her drive. Coral will need a home with ample space where she has a dedicated job to fulfill her natural instincts.

Description: Henny is a beautiful 1 year old Staffie mix and a perfect medium size at 65 pounds. She is kennel trained and knows how to sit and lay down.
