Despite everything he has been through, Romeo is a very affectionate and lovey boy. As he continues to recover, he will need daily walks and a consistent routine to help him regain his strength.

Description: Axel is around 8 years old, previously living in a nursing home with his owner, who was suffering from dementia. As her condition progressed, she began forgetting about Axel, and the facility informed them that he could no longer stay. Axel was taken to a veterinarian with the intention of being euthanized due to his situation. Thankfully the veterinarian saw that Axel deserved a second chance and declined to euthanize him. Instead, they reached out to Pawsitive Place Rescue in hopes that we could help him. Axel is kennel and house trained as well as dog friendly.

Description: Tommy is a 3-year-old Border Collie who was rescued from Gladewater Animal Control after being placed on the euthanasia list due to lack of space. Tommy is kennel trained, potty trained, and knows how to sit and lay down, very social and eager to learn. He loves running and playing in the backyard and will thrive with an active family who will include him in their daily adventures. Tommy is already neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.

Timmy is a little more timid than his brother Tommy, but once he feels comfortable, he is an incredibly affectionate boy who loves to give hugs. He is kennel and potty trained, friendly with children and other dogs, and a professional snuggler! Timmy and his brother Tommy can be adopted together or separately.

Description: Lightning is a 1-year-old, 100 lb Cane Corso who was picked up as a stray by Gladewater Animal Control and later saved by our rescue from the euthanasia list. Lightning has completed two weeks of intensive training with Blackhawk K-9 Texas. She walks well on a leash, knows how to sit and lay down, and is an affectionate, well-mannered family dog. The boo-boo on her face is a "cleft lip" and it does not impact her. Lightning has made great progress with her training, but she will need a home that is willing to continue working with her and provide the structure and consistency she has been learning!
