Adoption Application

• Verification of Information: Pawsitive Place Rescue has permission to verify any and all information provided in this application, including veterinary, housing, and personal references.
• Accuracy of Information: You certify that all statements in this application are true and complete. Any false information, omissions, or misrepresentations will result in automatic denial of adoption or immediate reclamation of the animal if the adoption has already occurred.
• Right of Refusal: Pawsitive Place Rescue reserves the right to deny any adoption application for any reason, at our sole discretion, to ensure the safety and well-being of the animal.
• Non-Refundable Fees: All adoption fees are non-refundable, as they directly support the care and medical needs of our rescue animals.
• Lifetime Welfare Commitment: If at any time you can no longer keep the adopted animal, you must contact Pawsitive Place Rescue immediately. The animal must be returned to the rescue and may not be sold, given away, or surrendered to any shelter or third party.
• Financial Responsibility: You affirm that you are financially able to provide food, shelter, routine veterinary care, vaccines, preventatives, emergency care, and any necessary training or behavioral support.
• Adjustment Period: You understand that every animal requires an adjustment period in a new home. This may take weeks or longer. You agree to be patient and to contact us if challenges arise.
• Safe & Humane Treatment: You agree to provide the animal with a safe, loving, and humane home free from abuse, neglect, tethering, or harmful conditions. Pawsitive Place Rescue may perform follow-up checks when needed.
• Legal Ownership: Adoption does not become final until all required documents are completed and Pawsitive Place Rescue confirms that all adoption conditions have been met.
• Agreement to Contact: You agree that Pawsitive Place Rescue may contact you by phone, email, or text regarding your application and the welfare of any adopted animal.

IMPORTANT: THERE IS ALWAYS AN ADJUSTMENT PERIOD WHEN BRINGING A NEW PET INTO YOUR HOME, SOMETIMES THIS ADJUSTMENT MAY BE A MONTH OR MORE. PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH YOUR NEW COMPANION AND SHOULD YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO CONTACT US FOR ASSISTANCE OR ADVICE.
