Volunteer Application

Volunteer Status:

• I understand that my role is voluntary, with no expectation of compensation.
• I acknowledge that I am not covered by workers' compensation or any medical insurance.

Assumption of Risk:

• I recognize that working with animals involves inherent risks, including bites and scratches.
• I agree to assume all risks associated with my volunteer duties and release the Rescue, its directors, officers, and agents from any liability.

Release of Liability:

• I release, discharge, indemnify, and hold harmless the Rescue from any claims or damages arising from my volunteer activities.
• This includes personal injury, property damage, or any other harm that may occur while volunteering.
• I assume all risks and release Pawsitive Place Rescue from any liability.

Medical Release:

• I understand that I am responsible for my own medical care and insurance coverage in the event of an injury or illness while volunteering.

Photo/Video Release:

• I grant the Rescue permission to use any photographs or videos taken of me during my volunteer work for promotional purposes.
• I understand these materials will be the sole property of the Rescue, and I waive any right to compensation.

High Standards of Conduct:

• I commit to treating all animals with the highest standards of moral and ethical care as outlined by the Rescue.

Adherence to Policies:

• I agree to follow all policies and understand that failure to comply may result in termination of my volunteer services.

Termination of Services:

• I understand that my volunteer services can be terminated at any time for any reason at the discretion of the Rescue.
